Two voices
This site is built by one person. The collecting life behind much of the reference material belongs to another. They are not the same story.
How we came to collect
We started with a five-pound jardinière in a charity shop and ended with around 12,500 pieces of SylvaC and Falcon Ware. The looking never really stopped.

The idea for the SylvaC Catalogue began with a personal journey.
After the passing of my father, I discovered that he had quietly built an extensive collection of SylvaC pottery over many years. As I began identifying and cataloguing each piece, I quickly realised there wasn't a single place where collectors could find comprehensive, reliable information about SylvaC models, colours, variations, backstamps and history.
Information existed in books, auction catalogues, collectors' websites and online forums, but it was scattered across many different sources. Identifying a piece often meant spending hours comparing photographs and searching through multiple references.
So, I decided to build the resource I wished had existed.
The SylvaC Catalogue aims to become the most comprehensive online reference for SylvaC pottery, bringing together information, photographs and historical knowledge into a single searchable catalogue that is freely available to collectors, enthusiasts and anyone interested in the fascinating history of SylvaC.

No one has all the answers
Many of the rarest pieces are held in private collections, and new variations continue to emerge. That's why the catalogue has been designed as a community project.

Spot an error or missing detail? Every correction strengthens the reference for everyone.

Help identify and record previously unknown pieces before their history is lost.

Always improving
Every effort is made to ensure that the information published is as accurate as possible. However, much of SylvaC's history has been pieced together from surviving catalogues, collector knowledge, auction records and original examples.
As new evidence comes to light, the catalogue will continue to evolve. If you spot an error or have additional information, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
